Last weekend, my friend, Cherry was in town with her little boy, Payne. She stayed a few nights with us and both Jude and I had simulatneous playdates (me with my friend and him with Payne). It was neat, because Payne is only 5 months older than Jude, and out of all our friends’ babies, he is the one closest in age to Jude.
Payne is quite the little chunky monkey. He makes Jude look tiny. He’s also a roly poly, and we thought he could teach Jude how to roll over. When they first met each other, Payne kept patting Jude. We weren’t sure if he thought Jude was a toy or a baby. But they were really cute together.
On Sunday, Cherry and I went to lunch with the babies. Then had gelato at one of the best, if not the best, place in town, Teo. I had salted caramel, strawberries and cream, and nutella crunch (that’s the best part of gelato, that you get multiple flavors). Cherry had a PB & Nutella shake. After that, we took the babies to Austin Science and Nature Center to walk around. It was pretty fun and nice to get out of the house.
There were only 2 downsides to the whole weekend. 1) You really miss your out of town friends when they leave after a fun weekend. 2) Apparently Payne is allergic to something in our house. Quite possibly Liam kisses. The poor boy has such a bad reaction that his eyes swoll up like a boxer. Thank goodness we have baby benadryl in the house. I felt terrible and hope that they will visit us again, even after that experience.
So, here are some pictures from our fun weekend.
