I love cutting my hair off right before school starts.
What I don’t love is that I can’t style my hair like the professionals. I just washed my hair and I look crazy, now. Wish me good luck in the morning so I don’t look like a scarecrow on the first day of school.
PS: This is the professional styling. No pics of the Christy styling…it’s bad!

Here is a list of some things that make me happy these days, in addition to the love of a good husband, a good son, and a good dog. In no particular order…

I mentioned that I took Jude to Portrait Innovations on his birthday. I was saving these pictures because I wanted to “reveal” them at his birthday party. But here they are. Pretty stinking cute! I am happy with how they came out, but I would still like to have hire a photographer to do our family portrait to mark this milestone.

Today, I declared my independance from my Medela breastpump! We are done, old friend. You served me well, but I ready to pack you away. Now that I an on summer break, there is no need to pump breastmilk, and since Jude is approaching his first year, we will be transitioning him to cow’s milk for his daytime feedings. Freedom feels good, let me tell you!

I don’t have a Facebook account, but I have been invited some friends to get one. Every now and then, Facebook sends me an email to remind me that other people have invited me to join Facebook. In an attempt to win me over, they listed some other people that I might know. See below…
Joe Mitchell…hum… I think I might know him.

Q: Where do you put a baby that has projectile vomitted all over your work clothes, your hair, and some pillows that happen to be on the floor?
A: The only place you can think of, the bathtub.
That’s how our morning started. Baby boy isn’t feeling to great, so I am home with him today.

Is the time change causing havoc for anyone else but us? I’ve been exhausted every morning for the past three days. Not just tired, but straight up lethargic. Then of course, no one knows how to drive in dark and making my commute longer and making me 20 minutes late every other day. You know, it’s never a good sign when you are yawning and driving and thinking, “I could really fall alseep right now.”
Of course, Jude has been off his schedule, as well. I am really not one of those sleep deprived moms. We’ve moved on from those all night walk and shushing sessions, but he does wake up in the middle of the night and want to play. If he is sleeping in the bed with us, he was pat on our heads or use the headboard so he can stand up. Thank goodness Spring Break is coming…I need to recharge.

Dear Eczema,
I hate you. I’m tired of fighting you. You’ve ruined my sweet baby’s face. You make his legs dry and itchy. We kick you out every Monday and by Thursday night, you are standing at our door step again. I just want to get Jude’s half a year picture taken, but you’re always hanging around on the weekend. Leave us alone! I am so over you!
Get the hint,
Christy

My friend Sarah passed on this deal to me. The make-up line ELF (eyes, lips, face) is being bought out by Nordstrom and will have their packaging redesigned. The makeup in the old packaging is being clearanced off their website. They are selling everything for $1! I only saw a few things that were more than $1, and they were sets. Oops!! Apparently I didn’t check Snopes before I posted this. They are not being bought out by Nordstrom. That is their normal price. They are a familiar brand because I believe they are carried at Target stores. But, I still think $7 for 15 worth of make-up is not bad. They don’t test on animals, and even if it turns out to be a cheap makeup, nothing much lost. I ordered some, so I will let you know how it goes. I am really excited because I am getting some nail polish and some make up tools. I read reviews that said the mascara is terrible. But, how can you mess up tweezers and nail polish. Sorry for the misinformation! If you still want to check it out you can at

If you buy $15 worth of products, you can use the coupon code CAROLINA and save an additional $7.50. Of course, you still have to pay shipping and handling charges. Yes, this code does work!
