One of oldest and dearest friends, Rachel, came to visit me in the fall. Of course she came bearing bad news; she’s moving to Orlando, Florida (I kid, of course). We had a great girls night out in Austin: dinner at Eastside Cafe and dessert at Chez Zee. I can’t believe we eat ate those two giant creme brûlées!
The next day we went to Gruene and the weather couldn’t have been nicer. It was great to catch up and chat. You know it’s a great friendship when even though you don’t see each other offer you talk as if you are finishing a conversation from yesterday. I’m gonna miss her when she moves, but I’m so excited for her to start a new chapter in her life.
Uh-hem… I seem to recall that certain plans were being made for a trip to Disney!!!! ;o) I love you and I will miss you too. Thank you for this ode to Mongolia! You are such a dear friend. We will endure time, space and grouchiness! hehe
