It’s that time of year again…the annual Buda Wiener Dog Races. We did not enter Liam to race this year, but we did go to enjoy the day outside and have some family time. This was Jude’s first time at the races and he was pretty much unimpressed. We are not sure if he was still tired from his nap, but he just sat back and took it all in.
It was a fun afternoon seeing all the other dachshunds and we timed it just right that we got to sample all the entries in the bake-offs after the judging, which means yummy little squares of cakes and pies. We got to visit with my friend Amara, who also loves dachshunds. Her and her husband brought their two pups, but they were a little overwhelmed. It was a nice family afternoon out and we couldn’t have asked for better weather today.

those pictures are so cute! Jude is adorable in that second to last one… and the doxie shirt rocks. Gotta get one like that for little Zachary too!

Look at Li-Li! I love the ones with Joe and both his boys and also the one with Christy and Jude!

Would love to go to a wiener dog race.
My Dachshund Luke looks just like yours. Do you have any pictures of the dogs racing?

Thank you!
Now I really want to go to a race.
Watched your video this morning, how funny is that
I think Dachshund Luke may be too old now – he is 8, however he can still run when he wants to.
Thanks for looking at my blog, it is a small Dachshund world lol.
Do you mind if I link your video on my next squidoo lens?
